Ecosystem News

We believe that in a world full of complexity, simplicity is what drives real innovation. With the Cartesi Radically Simple campaign, we're all about giving developers the tools they need to push things forward. Web3 needs to be easier to use, so let’s focus on making it simple for developers to build the future. Let’s become simple-minded.

Learn more about the campaign in the blog post.

Be ready to see this campaign out in the wild. Perhaps Token2049 Singapore? Perhaps in the form of caps? 👀 Have you peeped the Brave ad yet?

In case you missed it, Cartesi Docs v1.5 is now live with updated tutorials, a new migration guide for Node v1.5.0, React.js frontend tutorial, CLI commands pace, and a community tools page. See it for yourself.

DCA Monster launched the Cartesi Native Yields module - smart contracts in Solidity and Python powered by Cartesi generate yields while keeping tokens fully usable in the rollup. You can read more about it here. Want to learn more about how it works? Check out this thread.

New integrations have been cooking here at Cartesi with Chronicle Protocol and Push Protocol. Test out the integration with Chronicle Protocol here.

To learn more about the integration with Push Protocol, check out the blog post here that covers how you can integrate Push Protocol with applications built with Cartesi Rollups. By the end of the tutorial, you’ll have a working dApp leveraging their notifications, making sure your users never miss out on critical updates.

Have you checked out Cartesi Jumpstart Playground? Built by João, it’s your chance to explore Cartesi in a fun way through a three-part quest. Give it a shot here and give your feedback to the team.

The Cartesi Honeypot challenge has exceeded 1,5 million CTSI, and is still going strong. It remaining uncracked demonstrates Cartesi’s resilient security. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a go at it.

Feeling confident you can crack it? Be our guest and go for it.

RIVES is about to launch on Base mainnet with their onchain fantasy console - a retro-inspired fantasy console that is fully onchain, built with Cartesi.

And there's more! To celebrate the mainnet launch, they're kicking off an onchain DOOM tournament starting September 12th. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or a complete newbie, jump into the DOOM Olympics and compete for prizes! Head over to Carlo’s blog post for all the details.

Community

We’ve had two episodes of the IBTIA podcast last month, one with Pablo to chat about his experience building with Cartesi and developing DCA Monster, and one with Glory where she talks about how she chats about how she developed CartDevKit.

Check out the latest The Defiant interview featuring Bruno and Chandler from Avail. They dive into key industry insights, the collaboration between Cartesi and Avail, and exciting innovation milestones. The discussion covers everything from blockchain challenges to real-world use cases and what’s next for both projects.

That’s not the only Defiant interview you should check out. Carsten sat down with John, co-founder of Celestia, to chat about the importance of collaboration in crypto, why fraud proofs are such an interesting topic, Celestia’s approach to modularity and how this affects interoperability, the future of blockchain scalability, and more.

Felipe joined The Rollup's live stream to discuss ZK coprocessors with Lagrange and Brevis—catch the full stream here. He also appeared on The Crypto Conversation podcast, diving into how Cartesi is making Web3 radically simple and what that means for the future of web3 and developers. Find the episode here.

To fully grasp the radically simple movement, read Erick’s op-ed in The Big Whale, where he discusses our responsibility to simplify Web3 development and onboard more developers into the space.

Want to learn more about how Cartesi empowers developers in this space? Read it on the latest blog post written by Vanshika which covers an explanation and breakdown of the developer trilemma between tech stacks and creating a better design space for developers.

Events

Cartesi recently hosted a multi-day masterclass with the ITA Blockchain Club, where core contributor Gabriel gave an insightful presentation on fraud proofs. We're always impressed by the enthusiasm and knowledge of students keen to dive into Web3. It was an honor to be part of their learning journey, and we hope they took away plenty of valuable insights.

Contributoooor Spotlight

This month’s contributor spotlight shines on Paolo for his incredible engagement and content creation over the past month! If you haven’t spotted it, he created a song for RIVES which you can check out here. We’re continuously impressed by his creativity and love to see it.
