The Cartesi
Foundation.

We are a non-profit organization supporting Cartesi’s technology, applications, and the people contributing to its development.

Open technology.
A shared ecosystem.

Cartesi is an application-specific rollup protocol with a virtual machine that runs Linux. The technology is open source and evolves through the work of a decentralized ecosystem of contributors.

The Foundation is one participant in that ecosystem, alongside infrastructure builders, token holders, stakers, application developers, and users. Cartesi is open for anyone to use, build on, and improve.

How we contribute.

Technology

We support the development and implementation of Cartesi’s infrastructure, upgrades, and features.

Applications

We support the development of decentralized applications that run on Cartesi.

Education

We create written, video, and other educational content, shared through a variety of media.

Community

We advocate for Cartesi’s technology and provide resources and support to its community.

Reinvesting in
Cartesi’s future.

The Foundation is a non-profit organization. Some of its activities or investments may generate revenue.

Revenue and investment returns are reinvested in the community, funding grantees, service providers, and other contributors to the Cartesi ecosystem.

Participation comes
with responsibility.

Independent applications

Building on Cartesi does not require the Foundation’s permission. An application’s goals, statements, and representations do not reflect those of the Foundation. Neither the Foundation nor its grantees or service providers is responsible for the functioning of applications running on Cartesi.

Using the technology

You use Cartesi and its applications at your own risk. Unless otherwise specified, the Foundation makes no representations or warranties about the software, content, and activities covered by the notice, including their accuracy, reliability, availability, or security. Evaluate applications independently before using them.
