Written By Marketing Unit
October 11th - From the DOOM Olympics and Singapore events to IBTIA Podcast Season 2 and a wave of dApp development, September has been a busy but exciting month for the Cartesi ecosystem. There’s so much happening, and we’ll cover all of it in this blog post. But first, let’s dive into the ecosystem-wide updates and see what’s been going on across the ecosystem.
Check out the last Keeping it Simple recap to hear from the units pushing forward on development.
* note that some dApps and components may still require fine-tuning. Since the project is decentralized, these updates are not curated or filtered by Cartesi.
Don't forget to mark your calendar for our next monthly Keeping It Simple call on Monday, November 4th! Connect with core contributors directly and learn about what they’re shipping. Feedback is always welcome, so please if you have any, let them know over on Discord!
RIVES launched on Base Mainnet and kicked things off in a big way with the DOOM Olympics—a week-long event packed with 7 challenges over 7 days with $15K up for grabs in prizes. Huge thanks to the amazing participants who joined in, sharing their tapes, and making this event a blast! RIVES is not stopping though. Stay tuned for what they’ve got cooking!
Build with Privado ID and Cartesi. You can now check out a video tutorial by Shaheen, demonstrating how to verify an issued credential on-chain to whitelist a user in a Cartesi Rollup. Watch it here.
What is Bug Buster? Think of it as the internet’s immune system. The Cartesi Foundation recently exploited a vulnerability in the current Solidity compiler, leading the team to update the Solidity bounty to the latest version. It's all about keeping things secure in a decentralized way.
Farcaster Frames interface with a verifiable Linux VM? Check.
Check out Shaheen’s video on building a frame integrating Cartesi and check out the GitHub repo for all the details.
That’s not all Shaheen has been working on. You can now integrate Cartesi with Push Protocol, allowing users of Cartesi dApps to get updates on their activities within the Cartesi Rollups environment. Developers can send on-chain messages or simple in-app notifications that keep users informed and engaged. Read more on the integration here.
The DevAd bois keep cooking with their IBTIA podcast, now rolling into season 2, 'Modularity, Simply Put.' We’re lucky to have amazing guests like Ben from Espresso and Kyle from Avail join us. If you missed any episodes, you can catch the full playlist here and be sure to sign up for the next one.
They’ve also been hard at work creating video tutorials for building with Cartesi, available in multiple languages! Since Cartesi is an execution layer with a Linux runtime, you can stick to the languages you’re already familiar with, like JavaScript, Rust, and Python. Be sure to check out the tutorials here.
Co-founder Augusto jumped on The Rollup livestream with RISE Chain, Reya Labs and Superseed for a discussion on general purpose rollups vs usecase specific chains. You can watch the full livestream here in case you missed it.
The Cartesi Honeypot dApp is still live and standing, holding 1,700,000+ CTSI. The Honeypot is a challenge to any hacker out there that wants to help us test the security of Cartesi Rollups. Think you can crack it and take all that CTSI home? Be our guest!

Participating in Epic Web3 events is always a pleasure, especially when they’re in Singapore and when the focus is on Modularity and L2s. Bruno hosted a panel session featuring Avail, Nubit, DapDap, and Crestal Network, diving into the customization and optionality in modularity and discussing its trade-offs.
Henrique delivered a presentation at the Modular Crypto event in São Paulo, where he dove into the potential of Cartesi Linux-powered rollups. It was a great chance to showcase how Cartesi tech is unlocking new possibilities, allowing developers to push the boundaries of what’s possible in blockchain development.
Where to next? We’re gearing up for DevCon.You’ll also find us at the ETHGlobal hackathon rocking our own track and booth.
