About Carsten

Carsten Munk, is the Board Director of the Cartesi Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Cartesi technology and the decentralization of the Cartesi ecosystem. He was previously involved in developing Sailfish OS, a Linux-based alternative to Android and iOS and has been participating in the open source community for over 20 years. He is also the co-founder and CTO of Zippie, a mobile platform bringing blockchain to the masses.

Since 2016, Carsten has been involved in the Ethereum community. He is interested in understanding what’s new for developers including prototypes such as IPFS dapp sandboxing in ordinary browsers, Linux VM running in ZK and scrolls through the outputs of hackathons. He is currently pursuing topics within verifiable computation on a grant from the Cartesi Foundation together with his team.
